Tip a Fool is a gala fundraiser for the Citizens' Counselling Centre that happens annually usually around April Fool's Day.

It is an evening of fine food and drink, silent and live auctions, and celebrity fool-making and fun, in an amazing setting for a fabulous cause. Local stars serve an elegant dinner while making Fools of themselves – all in the name of earning tips to support mental health in our community.

Past events have seen Susan Musgrave auction off what was said to be the cap of the late Pierre Trudeau, and Rod Hardy of the Victoria Film Commission offer a bit part in a local movie production to the highest bidder. Mayor Lowe's juggling, Timothy Vernon's tickling of the ivories, and Jack Knox's singing, or rather stopping singing, have all inspired some healthy tipping. And then there was Deanna Young's meat draw. Whether you leave with an I.O.U. from a Mayor for dessert prepared and served by the Mayor himself, or one from David Feys for a dinner for six catered in your home, complete with exquisite wine selections from Liquors Plus served by a Randy Wilson himself, or a plan for a golf game with the Mayor, you're sure to have an exceptional time.

Over the past several years, Tip a Fool has become a huge success, raising over $85,000 for the Greater Victoria Citizens' Counselling Centre. These dollars then work very hard to provide quality, affordable counselling to anyone in Greater Victoria that requests it.

It is a lot of fun for a worthy cause and the Citizens' Counselling Centre is very grateful to the Victoria community for its support.

We hope you'll come out and play with us at our next event in the Fall of 2012!
